David Philips

David Philips was born in Glasgow in 1953, and lived in Scotland until emigrating to Perth, West Australia with his (second) wife Adele in 2009. He has two grown up children who still live in Glasgow.

David has had various careers, including being the anonymous human half of a comedy  act with a mischievous, keyboard playing robotic puppet called Mr. Hairy, and it was always a source of chagrin that the robot stole all his best lines and got more laughs than he did.

In his spare time, he reads (anything by Robert Ludlum, the Dover novels of Joyce Porter and the Rebus crime thrillers by Ian Rankin are among his favourites), swears at the T.V., and plays folk harmonica.

David’s love for conspiracy theories, and the idea for this book, developed from a chance encounter many years ago with an old Modern History teacher. During the course of the conversation, the tutor shared some information he had come across which detailed America’s nuclear intentions in the event of a Third World War and how this intelligence led to the assassination of JFK. His tutor swore him to absolute secrecy, an obligation David has kept for over forty years, until now. Thus was born David’s first novel, The Judas Conspiracy.
